The Acne Blue Light treatment system uses powerful blue wavelengths of laser light into the skin to target and destroy common acne bacteria (P.acnes). The system emits blue light in the 400-420nm wavelength range that is ideal for absorption by porphyrins found naturally within the bacteria. It absorbs into the depths of the skin's follicles where the bacteria normally reside thus destroyng the P. Acnes bacteria; quickly clearing current acne breakouts and preventing new ones.
This method is specifically tuned to acne so the results are often visible sooner than medication treatments and without the side effects. It is indicated for both teenage acne as well as adult acne. It is possible to go right back to work or class after treatments as the system does not damage tissue and there is no recovery time.
